To compare your set up to mine, I have a Starcraft 299BHU, a very similar trailer but a bit heavier. I tow it with a Ford F150 CC with a payload of 1400 lbs, same as your truck. My loaded hitch weight is 950 lbs, I would guess yours will be a bit less. I weighed our combination last year with 4 people in the truck and the bed lightly loaded with gear. Full tank of gas in the truck. My truck can tow 9300 lbs. I am in a little trouble with the trucks GVWR, I am a couple hundred pounds over, and about 150 lbs over the rear axle rating capacity. So can you do it? I would say yes, but you will be at your max. My truck handles the trailer well, without any adverse towing conditions. Would a bigger truck be better? Sure, but it has to be my daily driver too, making a 90 mile round trip to work every day.
