On your behalf, I looked at the Seattle Craigs list tonight and thought the prices were a lot higher than in N. California. Plus, the pickin's were a lot smaller than in CA. Also, is appears WA you must buy a special license plate for the Camper. Not so in CA. It's just cargo. One more thing. TC's in CA spend a lot less time in the rain than WA campers. Somethings to think about.

Thanks much for doing that jefe, that's good to know.. AK has no requirements for licensing a TC as well.
As it turns out we found a camper we liked right in our little town! It is an 2005 Adventurer, on the small side at 8'and 1900 lbs but has no bathroom so it has a bigger feeling than I thought it would. I like the idea of a camper that we can take out in the Canadian and Alaskan back roads that isn't too bulky or heavy. Doesn't have holding tanks but does have a porta potty spot and quite a bit of storage. Also a very sturdy rack on the roof for a canoe or small skiff. 3 way fridge, microwave, 20 gal fresh water tank, 2 propane bottles with auto switch, 2 deep cycle batteries etc. My wife was fine with the no bath arrangement so I think for its intended use should really fit our needs well.
So as these things go in a small town like ours, the person I bought my truck from has a Bigfoot camper that the guy I bought the Adventurer from is going to buy. So that means the guy I bought the truck from has the Torklift brackets that fit my truck that I can get for $100. That should get us on the road this Monday! This trip south has had more twists and turns in it than the old Alcan Hwy had in the mid 60!s We first had plane tickets to fly to Seattle and buy a truck and camper, now we have both of those before even leaving home! We are still going (doctor appointments are still happening in Seattle) only this trip we are heading out the door on a full blown road trip with a camper!! No Tents!!
Thank you everyone for help and advice offered! There are still questions to come I'm sure. Will post up some pictures of our trip once we get back home.
