Who makes the hitch?

Trailer is back in the barn,I,ll have to get back to you on the brand of the hitch.Its the kind where the bars don,t have chains. they slide on top of metal L brackets which are attached to the trailer tounge.

That maybe a Progressive E2 or Equilizer 4 point hitch.

Husky Centerline TS is like that too. I have one, works great.

OP, your best bet is go to the manufacturer's website and download the instruction manual. Hitch setup is pretty straightforward.

Have someone check you setup. If you still have sway, add a sway control bar. It is relatively easy to install and costs around $60.

Ok so I found a sticker on the bar that says e2. so I guess its a progressive e2 set up.

Make sure the L brackets and the bottom of the friction bars are clean and dry. Next, make sure the rear tires of the tow vehicle are inflated to the max. If the bars are fairly easy to put on, the hitch probably isn’t set correctly. Go over the manual, take measurements of the unloaded and loaded fender heights and go from there. Also don’t forget to put some weight on the tongue when you load up the camper. Too light of a tongue load will cause sway. I had the E2 for 5 years pulling a 6k lb Jayco. The E2 isn’t a bad hitch but it has its limits.
