Make sure the L brackets and the bottom of the friction bars are clean and dry. Next, make sure the rear tires of the tow vehicle are inflated to the max. If the bars are fairly easy to put on, the hitch probably isn’t set correctly. Go over the manual, take measurements of the unloaded and loaded fender heights and go from there. Also don’t forget to put some weight on the tongue when you load up the camper. Too light of a tongue load will cause sway. I had the E2 for 5 years pulling a 6k lb Jayco. The E2 isn’t a bad hitch but it has its limits.
