sewer pipes
Just wondering why some campgrounds raise their sewer pipes so high? Camped at Gatlinburg Tn at a place far away from any river , creek or stream. Some of the sewer pipes were about a foot or more high making it impossible to drain the holding tanks without picking the drain hose up each day and walking the hose down to help it drain. The sewers pipes next to us were even with the ground. I know some may do it in case of a flood , but with the one next to us and most of the others even with the ground it just did not make sense to me. Oh well, we had a good time camping anyway.
