shelter/cover for Chalet "A frame"

Hi,
I have a 2005 Chalet, app 20' long, and 12' high when set up.
I want to leave it up most of the time, but can't figure out a shelter for it. I would want the shelter to follow the same direction as the top of the A frame. Has anyone done anything like this? All of the metal 'carport' type structures run the wrong direction.

  • Thanks for the replies. Both of these illustrate the problem. and I am dealing with dirt/gravel at this time.
I am now thinking of extending my carport out another 10 or 20 feet. It
    has a peaked roof line.
have to get a carpenter to discuss it with, as I would not want the
'cross timbers", (can't remember the name). Maybe a combination of metal
    struts, and wood trim.
  • Assuming the parking area is paved or well graded simply wheel the camper under the shell and position it by hand. I've rarely met a PUP or an Aliner that I couldn't move solo. Of course this doesn't apply to everyone, but I'm sure you could find a helping hand or two if necessary.
  • seems to me that if the peak of the shelter goes side to side you would have a bit of an issue backing RV into it?
