Sherline Scale

Is there anyone in the Austin, Tx area that has one they would consider loaning. I would love to get an accurate tongue weight on my Outback.

I towed my rig into a local dealer and they were more than willing to loan me theirs.

That's probably what I will end up doing. I'm taking it in to the dealer for an inspection shortly.
  • I dont understand why every dealer selling 5th wheels doesnt have one. They could go thru their lot and properly mark every 5th wheel and TT and give customers more accurate information.

Id have me a 5000# model - about $140.00. Take it to an RV park and offer to weigh for $5.00 or $10.00 per rig - pay for itself.

  • The best thing to do is a CAT scale. Then you get the tongue weight plus each axle on the TV and trailer. Also if the WD system is set up correct.
  • I wonder if any RV dealerships would consider loaning/renting theirs? They "do" use them when they sell a trailer, don't they? :-)
