The more I think about the load on my truck, the front stays pretty much the same, but the rear load can change up or down 4500 lbs. The rear is where I could use increased dampening when loaded, but only when loaded. the Rancho 9000 is kind of winning.
but can you put 5000's on the front where the load remains constant, and put adjustable 9000's on the back? it would save almost $100.00.
While the static weight on the front of your truck doesn't change much with the camper loaded, that doesn't mean the load doesn't affect the front end. Try this;
A slow roll, maybe 10-15mph. Hit the brakes firm. Let up quick. Does the front end dive with the load and bounce back up? That's weight of the camper dynamically affecting the front shocks. Front end dive can be controlled by the shocks when there's a load on the rear axle.
