Looking at Passport elite 31RE, this unit will be for the two of us to go exploring/camping mostly for weekends maybe the odd week vaca. We like the layout, but it seems a bit short on storage. Questions concern mainly quality, reliability, and any must have items discovered from your experience would be appreciated.

model of trailer is very subjective, only thing I would venture to question is ,,,If this is your first TT, have you got experience towing a 35' long trailer? If not you may want to rent one to try towing. Otherwise, have fun.

My wife and I looked for several months, went to shows, etc, and when we decided on our first trailer, it was not what we were looking at in the beginning.In this price range, all the major manufacturers have comparable quality; there is not one that blows everyone away.You did not tell us the tow vehicle you're going to use, but that's a big factor too.

If you ask 100 people you will get 80 different answers. It is all about what is right for you and your family. Do you want slideout, bunks, etc.

Tow vehicle is a 17 Ram 1500 short bed, crew cab, 5.7 Hemi rated at 10k

35 foot trailer behind a short bed 1500 driven by an inexperienced driver. Recipe for disaster if you ask me.
