Short bed long bed
Our truck was stolen in Miami last month. We are stuck here awaiting a new purchase. Would like to know the advantages or differences in long bed/short bed and sliding hitches. Pulling a 35 foot Jayco...

My take may be different, but
Long bed = will not fit in garage = remove everything at night or risk having stolen OR get locking bed cover. It still stays outside all of the time because I have stuff in garage that will be stolen if I leave garage door up OB motor). Sun around here is brutal.
Short bed = close garage door and don't worry about what's in back. I do have a locking bed cover. Also, truck stays out of the brutal sun which tends to age everything rubber or plastic without regular care.
I chose short bed with Superglide because it works best for me in general most of the time. But there are times I wish I had more room in the bed. Seems like everything in the truck and RV world is what compromises work best for you. Good luck.
