Some of us have been there & done that with the aftermarket and have discovered the hard way that the aftermarket's "claims" & real life don't exactly match up particularly well.
My experiences include lifetime washable air filters that led to dirt buildup in my intakes, programmers that made smooth-running engines act high-strung and imbalanced, exhausts that did nothing but add noise and negatively affected torque output by reducing back pressure too far, suspension lifts that ruined handling characteristics, big tires that ate torque & decreased MPG, etc etc.
Hey, we can all spend our money as we see fit but after buying the products and experiencing the results I don't blindly believe advertising claims anymore.
Sounds like you didn't do your homework correctly before doing your mods.
