Should I even consider a new TV with repaired lot damage?

Well I am not a car guy. I buy vehicles new and drive them till the wheels fall off. ( so I could care less, about what 1 year newer may offer) My humble opinion sounds like a pretty decent dealership, to let you know that upfront.

If it were me, I would use that to try and get it a little cheaper. ( would be a golden opportunity for me to negotiate) Not like the thing had 12K damage, I doubt a scrape will affect you resale much if any.

But that is just me
