You should know. For it even to be reported on carFax. the damage has to reach a certain $ amount. $900 ain't it. In fact it is much higher. I doubt anyone would know based on a report from that dealership. The only one they told is you, because you are interested in it.
In truth. The damage is so light. YOU would not even have to report it at resale. The trackers are only looking for serious damage.
So yeah. They make you a price you like. Take it.
I don’t think there is a minimum dollar amount to get reported on car fax. I’ve seen some very minor things reported on car fax including check the tire pressure. It is completely up to the reporting business.
I would ask the dealer if it was reported. I would also go for a decent discount because it is a leftover and had damage. You lose a lot on any vehicle, I doubt this damage would make too much of a difference on resale over time.
I can only say that when we traded for our car. He ask if the vehicle we traded had ever been wrecked. I told him yes, and he asked how much damage. I told him. He said that wasn't enough to report. So that is where I got my info. From the dealer. They were only interested in major damage
