Am I advised to buy a better extension cord to plug in and run my fridge and lights etc... I believe someone mentioned a 10 gauge or 14 gauge extension cord.....
I would, I do. When using an extension cord to the RV,I use only the 30 amp RV extension or a #12 wire extension cord. Walmart has some good 25ft #12 wire extension cords fairly cheap.... I have two of them and a 50ft one.I also have a couple #10 wire cords I took off of wrecked trailers and motorhomes that I changed the end on to plug in like a regular cord for heavy draws.
I have used the #12 wire cords to run the air conditioner off the gen and the house when I forgot the RV ones....
Bigger is always better when using extension cords.
