I would find it too much work not to plug in the trailer, if we had load and unload the fridge for every trip it would be a pain. We plug it in in the spring and unplug it in the fall. The fridge stays on and stocked ready to go all the time. We do came 2-4 weekends a month from May through Oct. We would end up forgetting things if the fridge was unloaded. The general stuff like mayo, cheese, mustard etc stays for the year. People that are seasonal keep theirs plugged in for the year so I see no difference. Checked the battery before connecting it this season and water levels were good, never looked at it last year as it was new. Also, have used one of those cheaper 30A to 15 amp adaptors without an issue but I do not run AC, micro or anything other than lights and the 2 fridges when home.
