All RV's are designed for the basic functions to operate from the battery. Otherwise the trailer would not work when you camp where there is no shore power...
When you are connected to shore power the converter which runs from 120VAC will now provide 12VDC power to operate all of these basic function and also keep your 12VDC battery system charged up.
Here is a basic 30AMP Wiring Configuration block diagram showing what work with what in a typical RV unit...
