I'm one of the people that believes being able to lock up the brakes during the adjustment of the brake controlller is correct. My trailer weighs 9200lb loaded for a trip.
This is where the uncertainty comes in. After the first time the shop said they adjusted the brakes I said no way as they were no better. Took it back on a Saturday when the shop mgr works and him and I adjusted them. We turned the star wheel until we felt and heard drag but never enough to where we could not turn the wheel. We could spin the tire but I am almost positive it would turn more than one revolution. I was also concerned about over heating but I am going to try the method I posted above so that I can turn 1 full revolution by hand until the tire stops and assume they are not too tight. tks
