Anyone that wants to purchase a new truck and a mid to larger 5th wheel should look right past the 250/2500's and get at least a 350/3500 SRW offering.
We towed our 16K 5th wheel with a 2015 RAM 4X4 CC SB SRW Laramie, and made our numbers. A 250/2500 would be way over.
One of the questions I normally ask, is do you plan on a washer/dryer in a front closet and do you plan for a generator. Both of these options add a lot of extra weight to the pin.
The other thing with SRW 350/3500 trucks in look a 5th wheel with a dry pin weight on the light side. Our Bighorn 3575el(39'4" long) has a 2435 dry weight. If you start with one that has a 3000 lbs range, your will be hard pressed to meet the RGAWR.
OP, has changed his trailer plans and is staying with the F250. Which is a mistake in my book.
Motor on! Chris
