As one who has traveled and camped quite a bit in the US and continues to do so I wouldn't disagree - compared to campsites here in the Ontario provincial park system sites in general in US state parks, county parks, COEs, national parks, etc, do tend to be less generous in size so using your rig's tip to tail length when choosing a site probably makes sense. That said, our NY state lakeside campsite for this weekend is big enough to easily accommodate the largest 5th ever built so parking our "20 footer" and truck will be a non-issue. :B
