In my opinion, Consumer Reports is fine except for automobiles, unless you are not one who appreciates autos but are looking for a transportation appliance.
If you are a gear head (as most on this forum appear to believe they are) then CR is not the place to get information on trucks. Truck Trend might better suit your needs, even if they are ad-supported.
My 2 cents as a CR paid subscriber who flips past the auto section, despite the fact that in this case they appear to favour my truck's lesser sibling. ;)
