The GM/Chevy trucks are produced on the same assembly line (at least they use to be), other than badging and some "bling", here and there, the trucks are identical...Reason I always purchased a Chevy over a GMC...and I did for a LOT of years....was because I got the exact same truck for a cheaper price....believe the GMC was some sort of a "status symbol"....well, it did cost more, but it didn't "out perform" the Chevy any more than the Chevy out performed the GMC.

Oh, I forgot...it was a "Salesperson" that offered this "jewell of wisdom about being "dumbed down" er...how do you "dumb down" a truck???:R....
