I've only "Viewed" the Silverado on line but did stop in and looked at the GMC today. Yes I agree they are built on the same line (Heck, used to work at the truck plant several times and watched them build em) sp I agree there are many parts the same but the sales guy said they have changed a lot on the GMC so that it would command more money and have a different appeal rather than just a work truck.
I've owned plenty of Chevy's and GMC's so I will continue to but I did see some differences and once I get downtown or to a dealer I check them out more.
I am really looking at the 2500 diesel again anyways and I likely will have to choose between a car and the truck in the summer. Buying both is a big cash outflow.
