We have a 12K trailer, we would be just under spec for a SRW truck. Our Mountaineer has a 2800# scaled pin weight, very close to 25%. That with what we carry as cargo in the truck puts us very close to 11K GVW with the truck. A trailer with a lighter pin weight percentage and less cargo in the truck would make the numbers better. I don't ever see loading our trailer all the way to it's 14,400 GVWR, but if the pin weight percentage stayed at 25% it would have maxed a SRW truck out
Since we bought the truck to tow a 5'th wheel with, and don't use it much for other things we have a DRW truck.
