Hey all!
I just found this thread. I'm a newbie to travel trailers and just bought a 5 year old one last year. I'm over my head. I just discovered a roof leak after a year... I think the guy knew that when he sold it to me. I paid a fortune to get a new rubber roof. I was starting to replace all the carpet that molded in the front bedroom.
I also wanted to replace the carpet around the front of the slide on the main floor. Well I discovered some soft spots so I tore up part of the carpet and laminate and discovered wet rotting wood along the back corner of the slide and along the side as well as wood rot around on the main floor around the trim of the slide. Same as you guys picture. I was hoping the problem was part of the roof leak, but I don't think it is since all the damage is under the vinyl floor. I think it's the same problem your describing here.
I'm confused by where you think it is leaking and how to fix it. Do you have any pictures of where the leak is coming from or where I need to seal the own? I need help please! I bought the Tt for 11k and just paid 8.5k to fix the roof. I can't afford to pay to fix it. If I can't do it myself in afraid I'll have to try and salvage or get rid of it at a loss. I wish I never bought a used trailer.
