Slide Issue-Damaged Floor

We have a new Wildwood Heritage Glen, 272 BH only taken out 1 time so far this year. Yesterday, we opened up the slide and there was a nice 3 inch gash in our floor. The underlayment/plywood was in tack-it's the fake "wood" flooring that is now damaged.

Has anyone ever experienced an issue like this before with their slide damaging their floor? The dealer did say they will bring it in and fix whatever the issue is under warranty.
  • Ours is a schwintech (sp?) slide system so there are no manual adjustment points like mentioned. not sure the style slide you have but here's my story.

The genius at the factory that installed the dinette in our slide used screws that were a 1/2" to 3/4" too long. So we had 3 or 4 spots that gouged our flooring badly as the slide moved in/out. Our dealer replaced the flooring to our liking 3 years ago and we haven't had any problems with it. The new flooring was not an exact match though. The fake wood floor in our storage compartments doesn't match the fake wood throughout the main interior. But it doesn't bother me and most people probably would not notice without me pointing it out. If that's a sticking point for you make them replace the floor everywhere.
  • Slide is out of adjustment...not completely uncommon, but shouldn't happen.

After the dealer fixes the floor (and hopefully adjusts the slide room)...run your slide in and out a couple of times before you leave the shop as a test.
