Obviously if you attempt to prevent this by placing supports under any slide assembly that's going to put stress on the slide assembly, stress for which it was not designed to sustain.

Rather than using potentially damaging slide supports any trailer owner can minimize trailer suspension "wiggle" by using
BAL X-Chocks to prevent the tires from rotating about their axis. Further improvement can be achieved with the use of frame stabilizers such as the
BAL Lock-Arm Stabilizing Bar. I myself use the X-Chocks which I find do help, haven't bothered going any further than that as any remaining trailer movement really doesn't bother us.
