Slide vs Tip Out Windows

We currently own an older TT with slide windows. When looking for a new TT, many have the Tip Out windows that open about 3 inches. Benefit is windows can be open when it rains. Curious about airflow. We are not AC users, and prefer open windows and cross-breezes. Would appreciate comments if you have an RV with the tip out windows, and your experience with airflow. Thanks.
  • We have 5 tilt out windows. With the Fantastic Fan going, plenty of breeze in the camper.
  • We have Hehr frameless windows that only the lower portion tips out. For the most part thumbs up except for a couple of issues. First trip of the season the windows seem to stick and take some force to open. The mechanism seems a little spindly and I'm not sure about longevity. However, the trailer is in its 9th year and no problems yet.

They do look better in my opinion. If you are the type like me that buffs water spots off your windows the frameless ones are a piece of cake compared to sliders.

I love the windows where the whole window tilts. So nice to hear the rain, and rainy days can be stuffy otherwise. The ones where only a tiny section tilts OR slides would annoy me.

x2 on open doors as a source or extra air when needed.
