Slideout not working properly?

We bought our first travel trailer used a few weeks ago. So far we have gone camping twice... last weekend and this weekend. When I went out to the trailer to get the food out, I noticed that the dinette bench seat was secured to the wall of the slideout but that it was broken and there was an inch or two gap between the bench and the wall. When I looked into it further, I noticed that on both sides of the slideout floor there was an inch or two gap between the slideout floor and the main floor of the trailer but in the middle, the slideout floor was resting on the main floor. I'm thinking maybe a broken support or something? Im going to try to attach some pictures and a video but this is my first post on this forum so I'm not sure I will get it right. If you have any ideas on what is going on here I would love to hear them!

  • Looks like to me you have some MAJOR problems. Get an RV tech to look at it quick BEFORE it is pulled again.
    Good luck.
  • slide floors are one continuous piece of wood with no supports underneath, they are secured by screws from the factory only on the outside edges. Your floor is either warped or water damaged, which a quick test with a screwdriver will verify if you go underneath outside with the slide extended and try to poke the screwdriver through the floor at various places. That bracket on the dinette is definitely not stock and someone added it for support or to hide something such as a previous accident or work that was done
