We had the same problem on our 2007 Passport 285RL when it was brand new, on our first trip out (what DIDN'T go wrong with that camper???). Luckily, there was an RV repair shop on site at the campgroung we were at. The guy found out that a cable had been cut as the slide was going out (we had our kitchen on the slide - lesson learned...), rendering it dead. The tech repaired the cut cable, and we were back in business.
