Yes, towing the travel trailer is very different than pulling a boat.
Unless you were pinned at redline, pedal on the floor, and losing speed...your engine wasn't anywhere near being worked.
Don't be afraid of the gas pedal and RPM's. Gas engines make their power in higher RPM's, and you will need to rev it or just not go very fast.
