I would think first make sure grounds are there
Because without them if you happen to get a cut wire that's bleeding off some voltage to the frame , it might not blow the fuse for that wire , with the ground it for sure will
I`ve seen the same thing on construction sites where the welders didn`t have good grounds and all our grounded tools would shoot a small arc to the steel building, when they where held close , not enough to really shock you bad
I`d be concerned about having a problem like that and a propane leak at the tanks , a small spark off the frame or skin like that might not be so good, that's why its code even on rvs to ground the gas lines
Maybe your converter has a short in it
I think your checking the right things and are right not to stop until you fix it
