I considered this briefly, but it would only be good for me for 1 season. If I had any issues I'd have to return it to Costco and buy some other replacement. For my Honda, I can get parts locally and have them worked on nearly everywhere. Regarding parts, getting a high-altitude carburetor jet was vital as I have several boondocking trips planned at 7,000' or higher.
BTW, I was able to halve the cost difference in buying my Honda. Locally, Cal-Ranch is currently offering the EU2000i for $899 and I saved another $100 by signing up for their credit card during the purchase.
