Once inside it doesn't matter if it is the Champ or a Honda 3000is, they are both hums that you can hear.
Outside the Champ is obnoxious.
When my air conditioner is running I can't here my Honda running at all but with the 65db Generac, that's not the case at all.Of course it depends on where the generator is and I keep mine in the back of my pickup in front of the trailer as close as hooked up.
There is know comparison in a Honda 3k and a cheap 4k generator as my Generac or the Champion.
When we were hunting a month ago I could here the 65db generator screaming at 3600 rpms way before I got to camp driving on on a dirt road. To compare that to the Honda is absurd.
