This forum has a great mix of new owners, veterans and everybody in between. I thought it might be a fun thread that some of the newer TT owners may benefit from. So what products do think are a waste of money and which ones are must haves?

Any product intended for the HOLDING tanks of an RV, with the exception of the products defined in the GEO method.Kil-A-Watt - useless.

Non-Snake OilDish or DirectTV setup.... sit out in the middle of no where and get movies, sports and TV.Cordless power toolset.... Mine has a circular, reciprocating and sabre saw plus hand vacuum and drill motor. The saws come in handy for repairs and DIY projects plus cutting up firewood.A portable generator... charge batteries, run air conditioning and use it at home when the power is out.Thetford Deoderizing toilet chemical. We have never had a smelly or clogged holding tank.

Anathema- Big screen tv and satellite dishes, scare lights (I mean really), outside stereo speakersMust have- 18V cordless Dewalt, Taurus .38 Special, good chair, big awning, shade tree, water hole to swim in, A/C (air conditioned gypsy).I will add to the list later

Must haves for weekend camping at PA State Parks:

Basic Tools, 18vt cordless, monkey wrench, 4 ton floor jack, lynks, lumber, spare lights, fuses, butt connectors, TV trailer tester plug, 12vt tester, and extra 7 wire trailer plug.
Convience: Keurig, compact HDMI wire, pupup gizmos, mattress toppers, lanterns, propane skillet, and poop cannon

Snake oil: black tank wands, RV TP, killawatt

Must haves: Tools, comfy lawn chair, biscuits, entertainment gear, grill, coffee.
Snake oil: Tank treatments, stair rugs, RV-centric antennas, anything audio with the name Jensen or Elite.

Just put 2 6v gold cart batteries in. highest capacity I could find, over 100 lbs apiece, just about put out my back sliding them in. Should be good for a week. Fortunately I have the truck and a torklift superhitch, to handle the extra hitch weight.

Ok here is my list of musts: hunting type knife, shovel, small ax, leveling blocks (I use wood) I haven't looked into the lynx sounds like I need to look at them! Electric Tongue jack,assortment of tools, bungee cords, duct tape, Teflon tape, FRS Radios to keep up with the kids, a spouse or another who like to go as much as you and who can learn and help out if something goes south.

Snake oil= RV TP it's like #3 grit paper. All the special deodorizers for the black tank

Electric drill for the stab jacks. Snake oil= an electric impact wrench for the stab jack. Way to noisy.
