I generally take the camper off when I tow the boat as I don't like having to move the house to launch / retrieve the boat at days end. I just drop it to as low as I can which is limited by the APU exhaust pipe and all is well. If I were in a campsite that had sewer then it would need to be a bit higher but I don't recall that has ever happened. I have had this unit long enough so off takes less than 15 min and on less than 30 so it is no big deal. I have in the past experimented with X boards and screw jacks with 2x6s but don't really see the need for short term stays (less than a week) and not a lot of folks using the camper.
