Just in case nobody is familiar with this repair, please let us know how it comes out.
We have an older 2004 camper that we bought used and the manufacturing era suffered from a batch of vinyl that shrunk, cracked and peeled up in cold weather (like in ND). Whoever repaired it must have just tacked down the old vinyl and then placed similar stick-um vinyl tiles over the top.
It looks ok, but under close inspection, it is obvious that this revamp was done. The original vinyl is pretty much laid standard over the entire camper floor (flatbed stage) before any walls, cabinets or carpet, so areas under the sink etc now remain not recovered, for instance.
In our stick home, pro kitchen vinyl installers once repaired an installation booboo with a special tube of goop. It was pretty much invisible when done and did stand up to wear. We wouldn't have known if we weren't gawking during the work.
