I am confused. I have not used my truck to charge my 100 AH battery for over ten years. I have a switch that disconnects the truck to TC charge wire. I have 130 watts of solar, a BlueSky controller and a Trimetric monitor. If I needed more DC, I would simply add more solar and another AGM battery. In my opinion, you can make the system as complicated as you want. I guess if complication is your hobby, the complicated is the way to go. If you just want power in your TC, then keep it simple.
