Alternator is fine on AGM batteries. Many many RVs have AGM house batteries and function great. Lots have AGM start batteries too. The biggest difference is to not equalize and you will not get that from an alternator.
Check the GP-PWM-30 charging specs on P12 and the only change from Wet to AGM is no equalization for AGM.

The float is a bit high for most battery specs but should be fine for solar that only charges half the time as plugged in.
Also if your alternator voltage is low there is no boost from this controller.
