This is very dated information. Most solar panels today use blocking diodes so shade over a single cell only affects that cell, not the whole panel.
To towpro, I would mount them on the flat part of your camper roof. While upgrading my solar I had given some thought to adding panels to the cabover portion of the camper to give the panels some tilt, but then I would have to always park facing south. Not worth whatever small gain I may see in output by having them tilted, IMHO.
