I wanted to update this. I received the Champion 1500 watt generator. Whoever said it wasn't loud, er, was wrong. :)
I had borrowed a friend's Honda EX650, and the Champion is probably 3 to 4 times as loud as the Honda. Going to be annoying at a campsite. Going to keep it just for emergency home use.
How loud are the Honda 1000s? Any comparison to the 650? Thanks!
