If you have the option high voltage panels in conjunction with a MPPT controller delivers more usable current, basically from sun up to sun down and in shaded camp sites. We have a 185W 66 cell high voltage panel on the top of our teardrop mounted flat feeding a Morningstar SunSaver MPPT. We spent 8 days on the north Shore of Lake Superior last June in a shaded camp site. Loads include a 12 Waeco refrigerator freezer LED lights, TV/DVD, XM radio, water pump,6gal water heater. We lost a little ground each day but at the end of eight days were at 64% SOC. I also have a 145W thin film panel I can roll out in the sun but did not need it.
