Very true and I agree 100%..In the old days we did not use traditional,as we know it now,tie downs and it worked great.
This is my truck with nontraditional tie downs,front tied to the frame with a strap and rear tied to the front stake pocket..The place was over two summits of washboardy dirt roads..I never had any problems with this setup.
