I would not dictate what kind of tie downs he used, I think that should be his choice. I would insist on cash, no check including a cashiers check. I am always uncomfortable selling a high dollar item due to potential problem. Perhaps I'm just a worry wort but I can imagine the guy paying with a check, drive off with bad or no tie downs, wreck the TC then stop payment on the check. Or have insufficient funds to cover the check.
