Solution on where to store receiver hitch
I welded a 2 inch receiver tube to the trailer frame to store the hitch while parked. It is off the ground and out of the way,

And although I store my hitch different than IPegasus, the OP, my previous post was not intended to take anything away from his ingenuity, which was a good idea too. ;)
