Hey! I claim the picture in front of the Indiana State Parks sign idea. I have been doing that with my boys since 2012! We're about 5 or 6 in, plus a few rec areas. There's alot to get to. We're doing Mounds last since it's the closest to home!

Mounds State Recreation Area has a very nice beach on Brookville Lake. A huge campground with a section of full hookup sites. We just sold our RV lot located a few miles from there. This is a very pretty part of Indiana that most in the state don't even know about, even though some mentioned it above. Whitewater State Park is about 10 miles away is also very nice and has horse trails if you are so inclined. About 75% of the traffic in the area come over from Ohio.

We stayed at Profits Town but unless you like to bike or are into water parks there is not much to do. I did manage to do some fishing in their pond.

The historic farm and Indian village wasnot openwhen we were there.

My favorites parks include Shades and Spring Mill but the Indiana State park fees are a bit high compared to some other States. But, I will admit, so far all the Indiana parks I have camped in were well kept. Including Pokagon in the February snows.

Mississinewa, Brookville Lake, Charlestown, Prophetstown, & Starve Hollow are the Indiana SP's that have full hook up.

Brookville Lake Mounds campground has a few full hookups, Brookville Lake Quaker Town is electric only. Whitewater is also listed under Brookville Lake and it is electric only. All three are decent parks.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. Most sites seem to have a shared dual water spigot but the sites are marked as Electric only. We always park within 200' of water so I can refill the tanks with my hoses. I was surprised to find the spigots at each site, but I didn't look at all of them. The reservation website does list how far away the water source is.

Prophetstown is nice but it's quirky with DNR not letting anyone put tents or anything in the grass. My Uncle was forced to put his tent in the gravel. Plus there is no trees so it got really hot in the 100+ degree heat we had. :) Wife liked it with the wild prairie flowers but I'm a woodsy type of guy so I like the woods. They didn't have the pool or waterpark when we were there. It would had really helped with heat. We did really enjoy Wolf park as it was the highlight of the trip.

BTW, our second choice of camper was the Jay Flight 28BHS but we just loved the previous 19BH's floorplan and the 26BH added on with a front bedroom. The choice seemed obvious. :)

While we were in Mitchell at Spring Mills Park, we drove to nearby French Lick Indiana and took a train ride through the National Forest and even saw Larry Birds childhood home.

Nice park and thanks for posting pics. We were in the no hookup area at Starve Hollow this past weekend. IN DNR really has some nice parks!

It was the cleanest and most well laid out state park campgrounds I have every stayed in. I'm so used to Illinois where they buy up land and then don't let you use it. Way to go Indiana.

Prophetstown is a very nice Indiana SP and the full hookup is really nice. There is now a very nice pool and water park at Prophetstown right in the park and not too far from the CG. We haven't been to the water park yet, but friends just did and said it was very nice. Great place to camp.

This one of the best State Parks we have been. They use the land to it's full potential. I thought this was one of the bigger parks but turned out to be one of the smallest. Most State parkks don't have water hookups. To our surprise, our site had a water hookup but we were full in the tank. Refilled the tank at the end of the trip for one last round of showers and such.

Thanks neighbor for the campground tip and pictures. It's always nice to hear info on CG's but even nicer to have pictures to go with it. We have not been there yet, but it's on our list now. Did they have water hookup at each site or was the water just nearby?
