You guys are all hitting the nail on the head. Too often we think more is better but when push comes to shove less can be SOOO much better. We pop-up TC'd for 10 years, then retired and bought the nicer, bigger TT for the whole retirement travel thing. Didn't like it. Back to a TC we went and yet we wanted hard sided non-popup. And we chose vintage. Currently in the process of a resto mod. One great reason is to outfit it as we want. We've talked to down-sizers who went Class B and even camper van but I always found those to not have enough in holding tanks or whatever. My resto mod in an 8' TC (7.5' wide) is going to provide two batteries, two 20lb propane tanks, 40 gals fresh, 6 gallons hot, 21 gallons grey, and 5 gallons black. Plus fridge, and wet bath and even a long enough bed for our tall heights.
TC is the way to go if you have no physical disabilities to preclude it.
