Around OK/AR/MO/KS four corners area we have many large COE lakes available for camping/fishing/boating/hiking.
Before motor homes and the 5th wheel trailers came along TTs and TCs ruled. Most folks back then that had a pickup had a TC (myself included) that we could pull some type of trailer. We had five TC manufactures in Oklahoma
Fast forward to the late '80s.
Its rare now to see a TC around here. Now rodeo types/horse folks use a few but the days when a TC was king at the campgrounds are over ....around here anyhow. A one ton DRW carrying a TC with a 20' plus horse trailer with a generator tied down on top of the trailer is common.
Our vacations and trips are west from home (NE OK). West is the mountains where we still see them on the road and hard to get to campgrounds or remote areas that a trailer will not go.
