Good looking Dodge, but I don't think I could have made that switch from the Silverado. Enjoy.
Owned Chevy pick up's from 1975 though June of 2010...First Chevy I drove was in 66' when I started driving.....been A Chevy guy a LOT longer than I've been a Dodge/Ram guy...Last three Chevy's I owned were an 03 Chevy 2500 EC/SB/D/A, then an 05' Chevy 3500 CC/LB/D/A, then an 07.5 Chevy 3500 CC/LB/D/A...all 4 wheel drives, all in LTZ trim...loved them, loved the Duramax, loved the Allison...used trucks to tow in the mountains...Bought my first Dodge 3500 Dually/CC/LB/ 4X4 Cummins with the 68RFE in Laramie trim..was SCARED TO DEATH I had messed up canning the D/A, though I knew the cummins had a good reputation...I towed the 5er in my sig, loaded to 16,000# with the 07.5' Chevy dually and the 2010 Dodge 3500 (4:10 gearing)...Towed over the same mountainous , steep curvy roads in WV, TN, NC and VA...Found out that the EB on the Dodge made up for the Allison grade breaking..truck looked better than the Chevy, was quieter on the inside and drove as well as the Chevy, easily. Duramax was faster, but I wasn't racing and if all the test had meant anything, I stayed with Chevy..(remember, I'd owned and driven them since 66' and owned Chevy trucks since 75)..
I tried out a Chevy in 2013 and ended up with the 13' Ram in my sig. A great looking truck inside and out..not only do I have a medium duty diesel engine, but also have a medium duty tranny with the Aisin...latch that onto one of the best EB's in the business and this is one of the bet trucks I've ever owned. ....and that coming from a Chevy truck owner for 35 yrs. If I ever decide to not own a Ram, I'll go back to Chevy. But right now, to me, the Ram truck is one of the best looking trucks on the market, runs great, (it's also my daily driver)...great engine and tranny and an awesome EB...Never thought I could live without my D/A combo, but experience has proven otherwise....
I too was a "GM Loyalist", Never owned a Dodge/Ram truck until 2010, wouldn't have any truck but a Chevy...but "the times, they are a changing"...found out Ram makes a heck of a truck capable of towing a LOT more than I will ever put behind it, and at alsmot 19,000 trouble free miles and a great towing experience and setting in the lap of luxury:).....I'll stay with Ram until I have a reason not to:)
