I just switched the complete opposite. Ram 2500 back to the 2500 Silverado cant compare the 2, the ride and quality of the silverado is like comparing a Cadillac to a Pontiac.
What year RAM?
2011 RAM 2500 5.3 with 3.73 with a towing capacity of 8,600 lbs
Ram had a 2011 2500 with a 5.3??? I thought that was a Chevy engine??, Believe it might have been a 5.7 Hemi??....but I never owned a Dodge/Ram truck until 2010', so can only base my opinion on the 3 Dodge Ram's I've owned since 2010, and Chevy's I've owned and test driven, actual non-bias opinion....and I've owned a PILE of Chevy trucks until June of 2010, last 3 being D/A combo's, ALL in LTZ trim.. Your comparison is flawed, unless you're just being a "loyalist" to GM/Chevy....I never experienced that "Cadillac to Pontiac" comparison. Sounds more like a cut on Ram then a serious comparison...I would believe that If I hadn't owned the "top of the line" trim levels with both Chevy and Ram...the Ram looked better interior wise and was as comfortable, if not more so, than the Chevy....really not enough difference to compare, "Cadillac to Pontiac":R...sounds more like an "uninformed", not real experience.....
believe the eninge offered was a 5.7, but I don't claim to be an expert on what Dodge offered in 2011..but after owning Chevy trucks sinc 75, do feel like I know quite a bit about them...Also, being a Chevy truck kind of guy...I've tried them out every year I've made a trade...up to May of 13', when looking at newest Chevy 3500 Dually in LTZ trim...ended up with the Ram....
IF I were ever to leave Ram, it would be back to a Chevy, but I don't want a Cadillac or a Pontiac (not made any more)...I want a truck to tow with and it's also my daily driver....
