Thanks all for the replies and advices.
I found some local metal suppliers. I'll come check them out to see how the prices of the aluminum compared to the online store.
I'm planning to go to All-Rite today too. They're about 1 hour 15 mins from my place. I think at the least, I can get the filon from them.
As for my TC, I've removed all sidings for both sides & the front. The roof is aluminum and seems like okay. Floor is also good. Back wall is solid!
I removed some cabinets too and will be redoing the kitchen & vanity countertops with quartz-like material (left over from my construction projects). I'll weigh them to check how much additional weight I'm adding on for these.
It's a lot of work but I'm running a design/build company here in the Bay Area so I enjoy doing this type of stuffs. I got 7 people helped out with the demolition and it still took quite a bit of time.
I got the camper at a not-too-high price so hopefully I won't be spending too much on it. However, it's my first TC so it's alright. The first is always special you know. :). Plus, I'll get it back once done by enjoying it with the family, which is priceless don't you agree?
Having said that, please let me know what you think how much my TC will be worth with:
- Brand new filon through out.
- Frame in 100% condition. All damaged & worn pieces replaced. No question asked. :)
- Brand new slide out (100%)
- All original windows still in perfect working condition
- All weatherproofing (caulking etc) is new
- New interior vinyl laminate flooring
- New kitchen counter, stainless steel sink, faucet
- All new LED lights
- Slide out motor is still in super good condition
- All jack motors checked & serviced if needed be
- All new exterior & interior paint
- All electrical panel system checked out
- Water pump is in super good condition
- AC blows cold
- Standard microwave, in like new condition
- Original generator at about 850 hours, starts right up
- Original 3 way refrigerator, still works great
- Original 3 burner stove, still in excellent condition
- Toilet (the style like in airplane) still working
- 1 piece shower still in great condition
- New vanity faucet & shower handle
I'd just like to gauge if my spending is on par with the realistic after-reno value or not.
Thanks again.
